this weekend

beautiful weekend.
started the friday with a party at one of my officemate's house. party ended some time around 3:30am. from there my dive buddy and i went to her condo unit since she has yet to pack her gear. at her place, i was able to catch some snooze. she told me she had to call my name several times before i finally woke up. we left her unit around 4:45am. meeting time was 4:30. we were late. i was woozy. while in the cab, she asked me questions how to get to the rendezvous point. i don't remember my replies. =D
around 8-8:30am, we reached anilao. bino and jeo, peeps we partied with the night before, were already preparing the equipment. mike was also there. before the first dive, i tried to catch some more sleep. and now, kwento about the first dive. =)
bino, the divemaster, said kr and i were allowed only till 60feet. 60feet!?! eh, during the dive di ata lumampas sa 20feet yung gauge ko. tapos, later on may tinuro pa siyang malaking fish na gusto kong sugurin pero di naman namin sinugod santalang nasa 20feet lang naman kami. nyeh!! at syempre nung pag-ahon, reklamo si mike di gumagana depth gauge niya, si jocs di raw gumagana yung gauge for air, si jeo sumasakit tenga kaya di makababa past 15feet, si anne natawa kasi underwater pagtingin niya sa paligid niya may katabi siyang lumalangoy na walang tanke. anakng...wha!?! so parang praning lahat ng tao. ok. that was the dive at twin rocks.
surface interval kami sa isang shore. bumaba si jeo. tinahulan siya ng mga aso. natinik pa siya pero at least nakunan niya kami ng pics.
on to koala deep. same rules from bino. naabutan pa namin yung mga students ni rico. we entered the water. putek!!! ang lamig. hated cold water pero i took the dive. nung pababa, bino faced us showing the ok sign and waited kung may biglang magreklamo. meaning: either sa kin kasi mahina ako sa cold water or jeo kasi sumasakit tenga niya from the previous dive. walang reklamo, so dive was not aborted. we continued going down. he later on pointed to a wall, lapit naman si mike sa wall. ako cautious lumapit. maya-maya biglang layo si mike. toingk! sea snake pala tinuturo ni bino. ayaw pa naman ni mike ng ahas. stripes na silver and black ata. medyo mahaba. anyways, we went deeper. 70feet na yung gauge ko. mukhang bumabawi si bino kasi puro hirit yung first dive. next time i looked at my gauge, 100 feet na. waw! astig. pinakiramdaman ko lahat ng pwedeng maramdaman at 100feet. heavy breathing, dark quiet surroundings, pressure. then, i tried capturing my buddy's attention. para sabihing 'woohoo!! 100 feet.' eh nakita rin ako ni bino. tingin sya sa gauge niya, mental compute, tapos tuktok sa tanke to call people's attention para tumigil where they were. i scanned the area, jeo was taking pictures, si jocs malapit kay mike, si mike parang natutuwa sa buhangin malamang without an idea na 100feet na kasi nga sira ata gauge niya. siya pa yung nasa bandang malalim. bino was trying to call mike's attention. sumigaw si bino. akala ko may parating na submarine, sabi naman ni jeo akala niya nag-narcosis siya. anyway, when bino had everyone's attention, he told us to turn. we went over a wall. lo and behold! woohoo!! may kuryente. so gapang kami sa corals after bino gave the sign to stick to the ground. ayus! isip ko, konti na lang pupulikatin na ko. ulit. mwahahaha..anyway, nakapag-safety stop naman kami. just don't recall if it was before or after we fought the current. later on, a few minutes bago kami umakyat nag-shoot up yung buddy ko. medyo hinanap pa namin kasi sinabi ko nawawala buddy ko.

sa lahat, ito so far yung da best. kahit na diagonal yung paglangoy ni mike dahil magaan yun paa niya (kinaskas na nga raw niya mukha niya sa corals) , kahit parang wala lang yung first dive (tho aliw panoorin yung tambalan ni anne at jeo. ang kulit. nung ascending si anne nakuha pa siyang hilain ni jeo pababa), kahit di gumagana gauges ni jocs at mike (pero si jocs na sira ata yung gauge for air nakasunod kay mike at si mike parang walang depth gauge) , kahit nag-shoot up buddy ko, at kahit na gustong i-abort ni bino yung dive initially dahil malamig at di sya nagsuot ng wetsuit, ito na so far yung da best. may sea snakes, 100feet, currents, shootups, pulikat, at mali-maling gauges.
later on ni-kwento ni bino na pag tinuloy namin yung direction kung san kami at 100 feet, aabot na raw kami sa kaola deep and at 30feet more, we would be seeing sharks.

last week, dec8, we ate at cena. will post some pics of what the desserts looked like. then we headed on at temple bar. sabi sa door, the place was for 21 year old and above people. not!! mukhang mga highschool na nagbihis adult yung crowd. gusto kong lumayas. kaya end up ko, labas ako nang labas. bored..

my uncle decided to have his back fixed. he went through a general check-up. they found he had water in his heart. they ran some tests to find the cause of water getting lodged in his heart. diagnosis showed he had lung cancer. he was prescribed no medicine, no vitamins. just the words that he be allowed to eat whatever he wanted. was told my cousin would cry but he would hide it from his dad. that was just among other stories the family was going through. my uncle stopped smoking more than 15 years ago.
after hearing that, i couldn't hold a cigarette.
