angels over the weekend
i'm quite in a predicament right now.
i doubt half the population will go through a similar situation. i haven't done research on how many people have actually experienced going through a similar surgical procedure though. my point, it's one of those situations which i just can't share with anyone.
anyway, on the day i received the news, i was deeply bothered. i was very much concerned. other issues i was facing at the time became the least of my worries. my deadlines, a friend leaving, financial problems, finding another job were inessential after i got this news. i've only shared it with a few people. mostly my family and one person from work.
later in the day after i got the news, i was suppose to meet up with a new acquaintance. no, i didn't relay the thing fogging up my mind. when we parted, we momentarily texted each other. somewhere along the exchange of messages, i asked him what was the most difficult situation/predicament he's gone through. his answer was simple, straightforward, and honest. it fitted in one text message. i found the situation he mentioned worse than my current predicament.
i replied thanking him for his honesty.
tonight, he sent me a prayer.
i don't know. now, i write this with held-back tears and a lump in my throat.
it's probably overkill but i cannot remember anyone who can calm my anxieties and pacify my fears with just one text message.
sometimes, heaven does send its angels..
