avenue q

after more than 10yrs, i've had the chance to watch a theater play. we decided to watch avenue q at rcbc's auditorium. there were 8 play dates. tickets were bought last tuesday. the first show date was on thursday, yesterday. last tuesday, 4 of the 8 play dates were already sold out. as of writing, i learned 7 of the 8 were sold out.

enough said. the play was well worth it. i was very glad i watched. one, it was the first time i saw explicit humping scenes between puppets..hehehe..; two, for 2 1/2 hrs (15min intermission included) i didn't notice the time; three, even if i already listened to the different songs (via mp3 thanks to chorvs) i still enjoyed listening to them during the show; four, the entire cast made of 7 actors were amazing. there's frenchie dy, star in a million winner, who was a japanese with 2 masters degree but working in a korean deli engaged to 33-yr old, unemployed brian, played by rycharde everly. rycharde was ai-ai's hubbie in ang cute ng ina mo. there's aiza seguerra who played apartment superintendent gary coleman, felix rivera who was the puppet princeton, a college fresh grad out to look for his purpose, joel trinidad was the pervert trekkie monster, carla guevara-laforteza (who also acted in saigon) was the assistant teacher kate monster, and thea everly was mrs T. oh yeah..there's also nick and rod, characters much like ernie and bert, except rod's gay :D

shucks..have to go. but do watch this if you can. you'd leave the theater with some happiness hang-over :)

highly recommend it. 5 out of 5 stars. :D
