HOW DO YOU SPOT A JERK?
Marriage counsellor Sharyn Wolf suggests rethinking your relationship -- and impending nuptials -- if any of these red flags come up:
1- You stop seeing and talking to friends and family. You don't want to tell them anything or because he doesn't want you to be close to them.
2- You have ongoing distress that lasts more than a month and nothing you do seems to make it go away.
3- You don't like yourself, the way you behave and the way he makes you feel; one or both of you is depressed and miserable.
4- Either partner becomes physically or verbally threatening.
5- There is a relative or third person deeply, terribly overly intrusive in your relationship and the two of you can't work it out.
i so love red flags #2, 3, and 5. do note that you are in love at this point. you terribly adore the other person and yet you have these situations present. it is confusing because of the conflicting conditions. you feel you're head over heels but then at the same time you feel you're sad. heheh..in my case, as in nalungkot ako sa sarili ko habang nababaliw ako dun sa tao. that was sad.
i had instances where the guy would sarcastically hint something if he learns i'd be going on an out of town trip for the weekend with other friends (pertaining to #1). i didn't stop talking with other friends though cuz i ignored his comments so di natuloy yung red flag#1. di ko naman kasi na-gets ba't kelangan maging sarcastic about my other activities. however, it deeply saddened me since i knew he disapproved of it. e magagawa ko, diver ako nuon saka gusto ko mamundok. heheheh....
heck, he disapproved of a lot of things. whahahahah!! o baka talgang di lang kami bagay. :D tulibi dubi douchu!!! kenli!! kenli enimor!!!
