wrong foundation

im trying to remember why we used to be close. now my memory fails me. i can't remember why. or how it happened. or when it started.
one thing must've been certain. we worked on it. then.
i've always known this. nothing's permanent. whatever you have now, it can go away anytime.

whatever it was we built on, it seems like it's not the foundation we needed to weather the storm we're facing now.
